Job Purpose
Carryout maintenance of Bank fleet through repair works of cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles in order to contribute to the fulfilment of the Bank’s objectives.
Main Accountabilities
- Maintain vehicles, which may include cars, trucks, folk lifts and other motor vehicles.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Identify mechanical problems visually or with computer aided diagnostic equipment.
- Examine critical parts and systems using standard checklist.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, filters, and other mechanical parts.
- Devise a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
- Visit authorised motor repair centres to inspect outsourced vehicles repair works.
- Test drive vehicles routinely to confirm to operational safety before/after special operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) ‘O’ Levels (credit or better).
- Certificate in Motor vehicle repairs or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience from reputable motor repair centres.
Key Knowledge and Attributes
- Commercial driver’s license is required.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
- Excellent mechanical repair skills
- Excellent analytical and with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
