The Company Seeks the Services of an Artisan Rigger x4

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining lifting gear as well as rigging equipment and accessories for Conveyors
  • Receiving daily schedules or verbal instructions from Supervisor as planned
  • Ensuring that tools/equipment used are left clean and tidy and stored in their proper places
  • Utilizing correct materials and consumables as specified
  • Ensuring safe dismounting and storage of lifting equipment after use
  • Ability to test rigging gear and equipment to ensure safety and reliability
  • Adhering to Statutory and Domestic Regulations on Health, Safety and Environment
  • Selecting appropriate rigging gear such as pulleys, slings and winches according to the load, weights and sizes
  • Giving appropriate rigging signals to workers engaged in hoisting and moving the loads to ensure safety of workers and material

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Craft Certificate in Rigging
  • A Technician’s Certificate in Rigging will be an added advantage
  • Valid Membership of EIZ/ERB
  • High level of integrity and ability to meet deadlines

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
