The EducationUSA Scholars Program at U.S. Embassy Zambia guides talented and determined students through the undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or graduate (postgraduate/Master’s or Ph.D) admissions process for colleges and universities in the United States. Selected students will be expected to attend regular workshops that will assist them through the application process. Students will work with our educational advising staff throughout 2023-24 to try to secure admission and financial assistance to begin study in the United States in August 2024. Meetings will be held at the American Corner at the National Institute of Public Administration or our US Embassy American Center in Lusaka, with some virtual meetings.

EducationUSA Scholars will also take advantage of our Opportunity Funds program, which assists students with the costs of the university application, such as test and application fees.

The Scholars program is not a scholarship. We can only assist with application costs. Students will apply for tuition scholarships directly from U.S. universities.

With this in mind, students admitted to the EdUSA Scholars program must be prepared to dedicate their time and energy to the program. With the right commitment, hard work, and support from the EdUSA advising staff, you can be successful in your dream of higher education in the U.S.
