Job Description

Support business environment concerning all ICT Applications to support the business operations and keep the business informed on various metrics performance through providing analytical reports.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

ERP (SYSPRO/IBIS/AERCHAIN) and Growth Applications used in other areas of the business

To support business users on ERP, Logistics, and Supply application day-to-day processes by resolving errors within acceptable SLAs, raising tickets to relevant system vendors, and escalation as appropriate to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.

To act as a first point of contact for all country incidents related to back-office applications, escalate to relevant Zone Support Group and vendors to ensure resolution within acceptable SLAs.

Participate in all troubleshooting calls and follow up closely on incident resolutions related to Zambia.

To plan and execute the EOD and EOM activities for ERP systems, ensuring they finish on or before the opening of the business day (8 am for EOD and 10 am for EOM).

To monitor automated tasks and raise relevant tickets to Zone Support Group and vendors.

Monitor the Zambian application resolver group to close tickets as per SLA. Escalate as necessary not to allow breaches of the SLAs.

Automate repeated tasks/activities as required to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Act as a project coordinator for various systems deployments/upgrades in the country. Ensure relevant country stakeholders know about the project, coordinate user acceptance testing, and go live also coordinate the CAB approval processes E2E.

MICS Controls and BCP

Regular reviews of users accessing the applications and systems to ensure access are updated on a need basis and decommissioned as applicable

Timely execution of daily, monthly, and yearly control related to applications and systems in Zambia. Identify gaps and suggest solutions for a better control environment.

Regularly update the BCP documents to keep updated with systems/application changes.

Reporting and Financials

Actively monitor the standard automated reports, ensure availability by opening of the business

Create ad hoc and standard reports as needed by business.

Actively monitor costs related to applications and systems used in the country. Ensure timely tracking of invoices and GRN per the company’s policies and procedures and monthly tracking of costs per ZBB policy.

Competencies

Understand Structured Query Language (SQL) and advanced MS Excel knowledge

Ability to learn and understand IT management software

Ability to diagnose and solve application issues

Knowledge and practical application of all relevant organizational policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.

Self-empowerment to enable the development of open communication, teamwork and trust needed to support performance and customer-service-oriented culture.

Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external) and other stakeholders who impact performance.

Previous experience as an application support analyst or a similar role.

Good knowledge of Power Apps application will be an added advantage.

Additional Information

University degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Systems or related fields.
