As a Junior Project Engineer, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Support in general day-to-day technical project management of the relevant Projects.
  • Support in management of interface between the various work packages (finance, legal, technical, permitting, grid connection,
  • etc.) necessary to fully develop the Projects.
  • Ensuring technical compliance with Project documents.
  • Provide technical support in procurement process of contractors to perform services under the relevant EPC and O&M agreements. (review of contractor responses, manage clarification queries etc.)
  • Assist in negotiation of EPC and O&M Contract schedules
  • Coordinating and managing the procurement of technical advisors (owner’s engineer, Lenders Technical Advisor, etc.).
  • Interfacing with technical advisors during financial close process and construction.
  • Review of designs to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Analysis and comparison of Contractors technical and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare comparison/evaluation tools in excel to evaluate different proposals, quotations, designs.
  • Maintaining the project time schedule.
  • Meeting tight deadlines and keeping within budget.
  • Prepare management presentations and generate periodic reports with the progress status of the company’s projects.
  • Such other duties that may be required from time to time within the general scope of the position.
  • The role description should develop along with the changing demands of the projects’ objectives and priorities.

Activités

Ideally, as a Junior Project Engineer, you would possess the following:

  • BEng/BSc/BS (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic)
  • Attention to detail required
  • Requires an organised approach to working, task prioritisation and time management.
  • Take ownership of meeting deadlines and drive tasks to completion
  • Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks.
  • Able to work independently and in groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in renewable energy projects
  • Proficient in English
  • Willingness to travel and spend time on site.
  • A valid Driver’s license.
