Job description
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and committed to sustainable development? Look no further! We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our client in a dynamic management role at a renowned lodge in a pristine location.

Management Role & Key Outputs

  • Learn and perform all lodge manager roles, overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly operations.
  • Compile operational day sheets, manage front of house, kitchen, and hospitality.
  • Responsible for overall lodge maintenance and land management.
  • Manage human resources, labor relations, and leave management.
  • Assist in creating annual and monthly training plans.

Guest Service

  • Develop strategies for guest service excellence and implement throughout the year.
  • Work with the Executive Chef to ensure food quality aligns with lodge standards and budgets.
  • Maintain guest areas to Best Operating Practice standards.
  • Host drinks, sun-downers, and dinners as per the hosting schedule.

Staff Development

  • Conduct training and succession planning, identifying and addressing training gaps.
  • Oversee weekly HOD meetings, attend GM operational meetings, and monthly financial meetings.
  • Ensure staff performance appraisals and continuous skills development.

Capex And Maintenance Projects

  • Assist in budget creation and management, with responsibility for CAPEX structuring and planning.
  • Implement preventative maintenance plans in collaboration with the head of maintenance.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management.
  • Strong financial capabilities.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous 5-star lodge management experience in remote Africa.

  • This is a 2-year fixed-term position, renewable.
