Job title: Media analyst Reporting to: Media director

About the role.

We are looking for an observant and data-driven media analyst to judge the success of social media and digital campaigns by looking at post metrics, analyze data trends across multiple platforms and identify patterns that inform our media strategies. The social media analyst is responsible for providing feedback to clients and social media directors to let them know how a campaign has been received and how it should be adjusted. To be successful as a social media analyst, you must have an in-depth understanding of how to read and interpret data.

Media Analyst Responsibilities:

• Report on web traffic and engagement across multiple platforms

• Providing constructive criticism to content creators to help them make improvements.

• Build and support SEO strategies, including optimizing keywords in content marketing projects

• Maintain a cohesive strategy across all platforms to increase brand awareness

• Coordinate with the Social Media Manager and the Marketing department to design advertising campaigns

• Research how emerging social networks and features can used to greater benefit

• Develop, maintain and update our digital and social media company policy

• Observing follower engagement and building a reports on their behaviors.

• Researching new social media trends and tools.

• Keeping abreast of current events and pop culture to better understand user behavior.

Media Analyst Requirements:

• Previous work experience as a Social Media Analyst, Social Media Coordinator or similar role

• Hands-on experience with social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns

• In-depth understanding of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

• Experience with social media management tools, like Buffer and Hootsuite

• Familiarity with online content (experience with WordPress and content management systems is preferred)

• Ability to identify target audience preferences and trends

• Excellent communication skills, time management and multitasking skills

• BSc in Marketing, Communications or related field

• Additional qualifications in digital technologies or social media management is a plus.
