Location: Ndola, Lusaka
Working Hours: 48h per week, 2 shifts, Monday-Sunday
(S)he is in charge of the daily production in the laboratory. (S)he guarantees that production meets the standards for hygiene, quality, quantity. In close collaboration with the Store Manager, (S)he oversees the lab operations and manage the staff throughout the production chain: taking orders, planning production,
food making, storage, loading the truck.
OBJECTIVES
• Guarantees hygienic and quality standards of the products (sticking to procedures and recipes)
• Guarantees stock quantity to meet the orders from the shops
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates the work of all lab staff, assigning tasks in a way that everyone does (and learn) every aspect of the job in the factory
• Supervise production to make sure everybody strictly follows the recipes
• Bring new ideas and creativity in the laboratory
• Cake and ice cream decoration
• Prepare personalized orders
• Supervises operations in the lab to guarantee hygienic standards following the Cleaning Calendar
• Supervises operations to make sure goods are stocked according to the standard
• He’s the only person in charge of compiling papers (Ice Cream Sheet, Production Sheet, Order Book)
Production planning:
• Takes shop orders via Whatsapp in the morning (ice cream) and evening (stock)
• Plans production according to the needs of the shops
• Requests ingredients to the Store Manager to make sure store can be closed by 10am
• Ensures equipment is working well, reporting any anomalies to General Manager immediately
• Ensure the hygiene and overall organization of the space and machineries.
• Leader the team and ensure everyone accomplish his/her duty
• He’s the only person authorized to enter the Store if authorized by the Store Manager
• Acts as Store Manager when needed. He should know how to use Odyssey software
• He’s the sole reference for communications with Management, as representative of Lab Staff
• Any other duty that may be deemed necessary by the supervisors, in conformity with the position
• Work together with the Lab supervisor to ensure that the goal of the day are accomplished and a positive working environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
• Having 2 years minimum of experience in the field
• Must be comfortable working in a team
• Creativity and resourcefulness
• positive leadership and professionalism
DAILY ROUTINES
* 07.00-08.00: Plans the production with the lab supervisor (production sheet), submits request of ingredients to Store
Manager, assigns work to Lab Assistants according to the production needs
* Production and supervision of colleagues, takes orders for ice cream. AOB (e.g. cleanings)
* Check that products correspond to the orders and ensure the quality of it.
* Review the order book and the paper works.
