The best is to go with your own car because buses or public transport takes you only to a certain point and not beyond. The bus will leave you on the side of the road, to get there from here will take you a good number of kilometers or miles on a not so good road.

There are 2 lodges in the area namely Wasa Lodge and Luwombwa Lodge. So we can safely assume that those 2 lodges are in high demand and may be fully booked during that time of the year (October and December). So the smart move would be to reserve accommodation way in advance or to make your own camping arrangements.
