Mission of the role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations at our Lumwana site, where we maintain a full-service agreement and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) contract with Barrick. This is a critical role focused on ensuring seamless daily operations, efficient resource management, and strong administrative oversight to support the site’s strategic goals.
Your mission:
- Site Maintenance & Infrastructure: Ensure the Lumwana site is well-maintained, resolving any physical or digital issues promptly.
- Resource Management: Oversee personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient utilization and tracking.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, data entry, and document control to support daily operations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across teams and with Barrick to maintain service standards.
- Compliance & Security: Uphold regulatory standards and implement measures to safeguard site operations and data.
- Operational Monitoring & Support: Track performance metrics, support project planning, and respond flexibly to evolving site needs and challenges.
Your Profile:
- Good communication skills and a be a team player.
- In a role that often demands explaining complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues, strong communication skills are essential. Equally, being able to work as part of a team ensures smooth project execution and fosters a positive work environment
- Computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft tools (Word, Excel and PPT) are essential.
- Technical knowledge is an added advantage.
- Diploma in Business Administration. Technical qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
