EXTERNAL JOB ADVERTISEMENT –

The Judiciary is an arm of Government of the Republic of Zambia. Its mission is “to provide effective and efficient administration of justice accessible to all people in Zambia through impartial and timely adjudication without fear or favour”.

In order to improve service delivery, the Judiciary intends to fill the following vacant positions as indicated below. Applications are therefore invited from suitable candidates to fill the following positions;

3. COURT INTERPRETERS, SALARY SCALE JSS04X (4)
POSITIONS, AT NAMWALA SUBORDINATE COURT, CHOMA
SUBORDINATE COURT X (2) AND LIVINGSTONE
SUBORDINATE COURT.
The successful candidate will fill the positions at, Choma Subordinate Court, Namwala Subordinate Court and Livingstone
Subordinate Court whose responsibilities are to undertake the interpretation of court proceedings in order to ensure that
communication between the bench and the parties is understood.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Undertakes effectively the interpretation of proceedings in order to
ensure that there is understating between the parties and the bench
Understanding effectively the administration of Oaths in English
and Local Language in order to comply with court procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
Full Form Five or Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (5) ‘O’
levels credits or better including English
Must be between 18 and 35 years old for external applicants, and
not above 50 years for internal applicants.

Oral Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English, Tonga, Lozi and Ila

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Magistrate in Charge.

copies of their professional and academic certificates to the Human

Resource Management Officer, P.O Box 60691 Old Cabinet Office,

Livingstone not later than Friday 27TH December, 2022 at 17:00 hours.
