Employment Opportunities Nkungumalemba Farm;

Nkungumalemba Farm is a farm situated in Lusaka West our main activities include poultry rearing (broilers), sheep farming and horticulture. We are  looking for suitable candidates for the following positions Farm Supervisor(1), Farm workers (2) and Sheep worker(1).

Farm Supervisor
We are searching for a farm supervisor with good business sense to join our team. The farm Supervisor’s responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring crop and livestock and preparing reports.

To be successful as a farm supervisor, you need to be detail-oriented but also keep the bigger picture in mind. Outstanding candidates are excellent at working with people, are keen problem solvers who are focused on efficiency and take a hands-on approach to management.

Farm Supervisor Responsibilities:

-Supervising workers at the farm on operation that include planting, harvesting and ensuring staff understand their performance expectations.
-Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs.
-Record information on sheep ram performance, mating records, lambing record and herd records.
-Prepare reports on Yield and field performance, cost and sales analysis.
-Prepare reports on Sheep performance such as Feed conversion, EWE lambing performance, Lamb growth performance and Ram performance.
-Management of the farm’s Irrigation system, inventory and assets.
regularly restocked.
-Ensuring that livestock has been fed, dewormed, dipped, vaccinated.
-Ensuring livestock shelters are regularly cleaned.
-Ensuring that feed is made with optimal formulas and ensure that animal performance is recorded and measured.
-Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm.
-Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
-Perform any other duty as delegated by management.

Farm Supervisor Requirements:

-Diploma in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent.
-A full Grade 12 Certificate.
– Computer literate
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-A passion for agriculture.
-Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
-Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
