Sendwe Investments Limited is seeking to recruit a motivated and eager-to-learn *Trainee Geologist* to support its exploration and mine development operations in Zambia.
The successful candidate will assist with field exploration activities across copper, cobalt, gold, and nickel projects, while gaining practical exposure to geological mapping, sampling, drilling supervision, core logging, data interpretation, GIS work, and technical report preparation.
This role is ideal for a young geologist who wants to build a strong career in mineral exploration and understand how mining projects are developed from early-stage exploration to resource definition and mine planning
What the Candidate Will Learn
The trainee will gain hands-on experience in:
* Exploration planning, mapping, sampling, and drilling supervision.
* Core logging, sample management, and geological data interpretation.
* Preparing field reports, exploration updates, and technical documentation.
* Understanding the process of JORC resource modelling.
* Learning how to prepare and support *JORC-compliant reports.
* Understanding how exploration results are used to develop a mine.
Key Requirements
Applicants should have:
* A Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Mining Geology, or a related field.
* A strong interest in mineral exploration and mine development.
* Willingness to learn, work in the field, and take guidance from senior professionals.
* Basic knowledge of mapping, sampling, GIS, core logging, or geological software will be an added advantage.
* Good communication, analytical, and report writing skills.
* Ability to work in remote field conditions.
