Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible to handle Machining equipment’s in the workshop, in line with the established standards of performance. To undertake machining of components and parts on driven machinery in accordance with Sulzer standards and specification.

Key Responsibilities
– Read, analyze, understand and follow engineering drawings.
– Use specific engineering measuring equipment such as Micrometer, Vernier’s etc.
– Use Engineering tools to job specification requirements.
– Operate different CNC or conventional machines.
– Attend all weekly meetings pertaining to safety, Quality and Environment and sign in the attendance register.
– Attend to all non-conformities regarding to safety, Quality and Environment as and when required.
– Conform to standard operating times as set by I.E.D
– Pre and final machining of components in accordance with specifications
– Participate in the implementation of safety, health and environmental standards in the workplace.
– Pay attention to detail and high level of technical proficiency (Calculations and Measurements)
– Must be Quality and Customer Service Oriented.
– Machine Various materials and making precision parts.
– Follow departmental standards, both written and verbal.
– Fully inspect work done according to specific requirements.
– Maintain and improve machining methods, tooling jigs and fixtures in conjunction with I.E functions.
– Read, understand, and follow instructions given on the production order.
– Operate different machines, follow the safety standards, and use guides where applicable.
– Any other reasonable work instructions to be followed.

Qualifications
– Valid Trade Test Certificate
– Member of EIZ and must have a Grade 12 Certificate
