VACANCY: PLANT OPERATORS (10 POSITIONS)
Department: Engineering | Grade: CMS7 | Reports To: Production Supervisor
1. About the Position
We seek competent, safety-conscious Plant Operators to operate equipment per SOPs, ensuring consistent high-quality water production in a demanding environment involving heat, chemicals, and noise.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Operate plant equipment/machinery per SOPs.
• Ensure adequate treatment chemicals are available and dosed at recommended rates; log all dosages.
• Conduct hourly equipment monitoring; report operational threats immediately.
• Monitor chlorine residues and log all operational parameters.
• Execute routine maintenance and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Update the Daily Occurrence book before shift handover.
3. Station Allocation and positions
Chinsali-1, Isoka-3, Mporokoso-1, Mbala 1, Luwingu-1, Chilubi-1, Mungwi-1
4. Qualifications & Experience
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
Craft Certificate in Electrical, Water Supply Operations (or equivalent). Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
At least 1-year experience in a process plant (water treatment preferred).
Strong knowledge of water operations; ability to identify operational threats. Physically fit, committed to safety.
