Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Digital and Change Enablement, this role will have the core responsibility of the following: –
To enable, support and drive delivery excellence across the entire Change portfolio owned by the Country in alignment with business strategic objectives.
Define Portfolio Reporting standards and oversee the execution of Portfolio Administration and reporting. Responsible to provide efficient assistance to both the Country Head of Change and Innovation to ensure that all the Projects, Programs and Portfolios are managed and controlled effectively and professionally, and in alignment to ARO Group and Country governance and methodologies
Provide end to end business architecture analysis which includes key elements such as capabilities, processes, organizational structure in relation to digital, automation and innovation
Provide quality assurance of key Digital and Change Enablement processes
Job Description
Accountability: Management of Project Methodologies and Standards: – (30%)
Outputs:
Establish and maintain project management standards including regular review of adherence
Ensuring that all projects comply with the appropriate change management methodologies, principles, and templates.
The role holder will champion the use of the Group standards, processes and tools within the Change community in country
Ensures education and embedment of appropriate governance to ensure that the Bank’s technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met and that the portfolio governance framework is comprehensively firmly embedded across all areas of the portfolio.
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio is delivering in accordance with Absa Africa’ methods, processes and tools.
Ensuring that the Change Portfolio is aligned to the business strategy and target architecture.
Accountability: Communication Management (20%)
Outputs:
Establishing and ensuring that robust portfolio and programme level reporting (benefits realization, resource utilization etc.) is in place and understood.
Roll out portfolio benefits tracking and reporting process in Country
Accountability: Improving existing capabilities (15%)
Outputs:
Ensures that peer health reviews takes place re-validating the self-assessment, with the focus on identifying gaps, opportunities and mismatches, taking an independent view.
Ensures that reviews are undertaken to check and challenge the project/programmes within the portfolio. This includes consistency of reporting, management, dependencies, lessons, and themes.
Accountability: Business Architecture:- (5%)
Outputs:
Reviewing, analyzing, evaluating ideas, projects, and opportunities to develop new products, new technologies and business models for the business segments
Collaborating across business segments to both find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the Innovation and emerging business pipeline
Creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization
Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and/or software procurement.
Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits).
Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of business architecture to effectively support business strategy. Apply and utilize business modeling methods to ensure results-oriented deliverables in a way that can be recreated and used as a corporate knowledge resource available to project level initiatives as an executive decision making.
Acts as a subject matter expert in the development of business architecture framework development, tool suite selection and design and methodology development.
Leads Senior Management through the development of a business architecture plan for the line of business. Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations.
Partners with IT architecture team in developing an IT framework that aligns with the business plan.
Functions as a liaison to Business and IT partners to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
Leads the effort to work with business leaders to identify business capability needs and prioritization.
Leads the effort to identify and document capability and initiative needs and strategic prioritization into business architecture deliverables (roadmaps etc.).
Provide architectural oversight of projects; ensure requirements are in alignment with business strategies and business architecture roadmap/framework.
Accountability: Leadership and People Management:- (15%)
Outputs:
Responsible for ensuring there is a consistent view in respect of matching resource supply and demand
Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance development and informal coaching. Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members.
Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed.
Accountability: Risk and Control:- (15%)
Outputs:
Facilitate portfolio risk management
Drive first line assurance in country which includes adherence to standards, health checks and quality reviews
Assist in supplying the required information for any PMO Audits underway.

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
