Legal Aid Board (LAB)

Legal Aid Board (LAB) is a statutory body established under the Legal Aid Act chapter 34 of the Laws of Zambia. The Board is mandated to provide legal aid services to persons with inadequate means. The Board now seeks to appoint the following:

Registry Clerk (02)

Serenje and Mazabuka

Job Purpose:

To maintain registry records and an efficient mailing system to foster timely and accurate flow of information.

Responsibilities and Key Result Areas i.Register of incoming and outgoing mail Maintains a register of incoming and outgoing mail to avoid losses and misdirection;

ii.Opening files and closing old files: Undertakes the timely opening of new files and closing of old ones to foster information storage and retrieval; iii.Inventory of files: Keeps an inventory of closed files in readiness for dispatch to the Archives for safety custody.

iv.File and mail circulation: circulates confidential mail and files to auctioning officer to avoid delays and leakages; v.Filling and service of court documents: Ensures that all court documents are timely filed and executed by serving them upon the appropriate parties in order to expedite court process

Qualifications

• Grade 12 school certificate and

• Diploma in records management
