EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Zaffico PLC is a listed and publicly traded company whose mission is to
establish and manage industrial exotic forest plantations and agroforestry
products in order to meet demand and maximise return on investment. The
company’s business focus has evolved to cover the full forestry value chain
from plantation establishment and management to complementary
processing facilities, which currently includes a Pole Treatment Plant and stateof-the-art Wetmill.
To ensure efficient customer service and sales, the company is now inviting
applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the
underlisted position:

1.0 SALES SPECIALIST
Reporting to: Director Commercial
1.1 LOCATION: KALULUSHI

1.2 JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing, co-ordinating and
managing sales and marketing strategies in line with the Corporation’s overall
objectives and strategic goals.

1.3 MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB HOLDER
The main duties and responsibilities s for the job holder will be to:
i. Develop appropriate marketing and sales strategies, action plans and
budgets in line with the Corporation’s strategic objectives.
ii. Develop market research strategies to ensure that appropriate decisions
are made on delivery of quality products and services on the market.
iii. Plan and monitor implementation of the Corporation’s business
proposition to retain existing clients and attract prospective ones.
iv. Ensure that the Corporation’s products and services are being sold to
generate projected revenue according to the Corporation’s sales
objectives and targets.
v. Recommend and conduct product and service promotion and publicity
campaigns and activities to ensure retention of existing customers and
attraction of new ones.
vi. Provide technical advice to Management in the development of the
Corporation’s business policies and enhancement of the corporate
brand.
vii. Liaise with other departments for consultations and assessments of
products and service quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
viii. Manage strategic customer relationships, evaluate current marketing
programmes and recommend improvements and new business
ventures.
ix. Issue to Management, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales
reports to aid decision making.
x. Conduct customer survey and assessment to improve processes and
customer experience.
xi. Carry out special assignments and submit findings to superior.

1.4 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
▪ Full Grade 12 School Certificate with 5’O Levels (credits or better).
▪ Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
▪ Master of Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent is an added
advantage.
▪ Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in sales, customer account and
relationship management.
▪ Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
▪ Must possess a valid driving license.
▪ Experience in Forestry is an added advantage.
