Position:                                Warehouse Supervisor

Supervisor:                            Reports to Site Project Manager & Dotted line to Warehouse Coordinator

Job Summary:  Attain high availability of parts required to maximize machine availability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in drawing up of Min-max list for the consignment warehouse and ensure 100% parts in the min-max are updated in GIM/ GPS as submitted.

Work with the Reliability Manager to bridge the gap between spare parts consumed and life cycle costing expectation within < 10% variance.

Monthly review of min-max lists loaded in GIM against actual consumption to ensure above 85% spare part availability and service level at less than 30% of COGS Inventory level.

Implementing measures to ensure parts issued are booked out of stock and receipted into stock within 24 hours.

Follow up of backordered parts to ensure parts are delivered within 30 days lead time.

Reconciliation of parts booked through BPCS against actual parts issued.

Control of stock take process to ensure adherence to stock take procedure and closure of stock take within 10 days from date of count.

Supervision of Warehouse staff.

Maintain good housekeeping of the warehouse.

KPIs/ Output Reports

100% compliance with min-max list – Weekly GIM report analysis.

< 10% variance between actual consumption against life cycle costing – Monthly Warehouse Scorecard

85% consignment stock availability – Monthly Availability report

Real time processing – Weekly WIP Report/ Receipting Report

Backorder age within 30 days – Aged Backorder Report

Stock take closure within 10 days – Stock Take Report.

Good location system and cleanness.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements

Ensures monthly SHEQ meetings are conducted.

Ensures that daily SHEQ talks including HIV/AIDS are conducted.

Ensures own safety and that of others.

Ensures compliance to legal requirements.

Ensures customer requirements are satisfied or met.

Ensures that environment issues are adhered to by avoiding pollution of air and water, and oil spillages / leakages.

Ensures good housekeeping and safe working and standard operating procedures.

Requirements (Education and experience)

Minimum BSc in Supply Chain Management

Minimum two years experience in Warehouse operations.

Good knowledge of ERP applications.

Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).

Key knowledge, attributes, skills and abilities

Ability to understand and interpret Epiroc Zambia procurement and supply chain policies and procedures.

Ability to understand Epiroc Zambia warehouse routine and control procedures.

Deep knowledge of warehouse management.

Sober minded.

Ability to work under pressure

Good Report Writing

Able to work with CISCO Jabber, Outlook, BPCS, GIM/ GPS, M3, ACIGN.
