Career opportunity Audit Graduate Trainees (Zambia)
Job description
We are seeking suitably qualified Audit Graduate Trainees to join our Audit & Assurance team. The successful candidates will support the planning and execution of audit engagements, assist with fieldwork, prepare audit documentation, and gain exposure to statutory, internal, and donor- funded audits across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Assist audit teams in the planning and execution of audit engagements for clients in various sectors.
- Perform substantive testing, controls testing, and analytical procedures under supervision. Prepare working papers and ensure proper documentation in line with audit standards and firm methodology.
Extract and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
- Assist with drafting audit findings, reports, and management letters.
Conduct research on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to client engagements. - Support the team in liaising with client personnel to gather information and documentation.
- Attend stock counts, asset verifications, and other fieldwork as required.
Ensure compliance with Baker Tilly’s quality control procedures and professional - ethics.
- Participate in training and professional development programs to progress towards
full professional qualification e.g. ZICA, ACCA.
- Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Recent graduate. Graduates in 2025/2026 are encouraged to apply. Must be studying or willing to pursue a professional qualification: ZICA, ACCA. Strong academic record.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
