The Human Resources Officer will support the effective management of the organizationโs human resources function by overseeing recruitment activities, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll administration, ensuring compliance with Zambian labour laws, and facilitating day-to-day HR operations.

Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Prepare and publish job advertisements.
Screen applications and shortlist suitable candidates.
Coordinate interviews and induction programs.
Prepare employment contracts, appointment letters, and onboarding documentation.
Employee Records & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records.
Manage staff attendance, leave records, and personal information updates.
Coordinate employee exit procedures and clearance processes.
Ensure confidentiality and proper management of HR documentation.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Support payroll preparation and administration.
Ensure statutory deductions are processed accurately and on time, including:
NAPSA
NHIMA
PAYE
Liaise with Finance and relevant authorities when required.
Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.
Assist in handling disciplinary matters and employee grievances.
Support the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Assist in coordinating employee performance appraisal processes.
Maintain performance records and reports.
Support staff training, development, and capacity-building initiatives.
Act as a link between management and employees.
Promote a positive, productive, and professional work environment.
Address employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Diploma or Bachelorโs Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 1โ3 years of practical Human Resources experience.
Good knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
Familiarity with NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, and payroll administration processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
