The Human Resources Officer will support the effective management of the organizationโ€™s human resources function by overseeing recruitment activities, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll administration, ensuring compliance with Zambian labour laws, and facilitating day-to-day HR operations.

Recruitment & Onboarding
โ–ช๏ธ Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff.
โ–ช๏ธ Prepare and publish job advertisements.
โ–ช๏ธ Screen applications and shortlist suitable candidates.
โ–ช๏ธ Coordinate interviews and induction programs.
โ–ช๏ธ Prepare employment contracts, appointment letters, and onboarding documentation.
Employee Records & Administration
โ–ช๏ธ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records.
โ–ช๏ธ Manage staff attendance, leave records, and personal information updates.
โ–ช๏ธ Coordinate employee exit procedures and clearance processes.
โ–ช๏ธ Ensure confidentiality and proper management of HR documentation.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
โ–ช๏ธ Support payroll preparation and administration.
โ–ช๏ธ Ensure statutory deductions are processed accurately and on time, including:
โ–ช๏ธ NAPSA
โ–ช๏ธ NHIMA
โ–ช๏ธ PAYE
โ–ช๏ธ Liaise with Finance and relevant authorities when required.
Labour Law & Compliance
โ–ช๏ธ Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.
โ–ช๏ธ Assist in handling disciplinary matters and employee grievances.
โ–ช๏ธ Support the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Performance Management
โ–ช๏ธ Assist in coordinating employee performance appraisal processes.
โ–ช๏ธ Maintain performance records and reports.
โ–ช๏ธ Support staff training, development, and capacity-building initiatives.
Employee Relations
โ–ช๏ธ Act as a link between management and employees.
โ–ช๏ธ Promote a positive, productive, and professional work environment.
โ–ช๏ธ Address employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.

โ–ช๏ธ Diploma or Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
โ–ช๏ธ Minimum of 1โ€“3 years of practical Human Resources experience.
โ–ช๏ธ Good knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
โ–ช๏ธ Familiarity with NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, and payroll administration processes.
โ–ช๏ธ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
โ–ช๏ธ Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
