POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION: CHIPATA EASTERN PROVINCE
Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate financial records and maintain all financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and all ledger accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts and reconciliations for Bank and all ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Costing of activities in order to facilitate preparation of annual budget estimates, mobilization and disbursement of financial resources.
• Support management in financial analysis and decision-making.
• Monitoring of expenditure in order to ensure spending is in line with the approved budgets and financial regulations.
• Undertaking effective accounting for assets in order to safeguard organizational property.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to help organizations plan and control their finances.
• Compute taxes owed, prepare returns for NHIMA, NAPSA, PAYE and VAT, and ensure timely payment.
Qualification
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or Equivalent.
• Diploma in Accountancy – NATech, ZICA.
•Added advantage
i. Full CA
ii. Part ACCA / CIMA
iii. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
•Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Experience
Not less than Two (2) years of hands-on experience.
Skills
Should have good management skills and communication skills, good writing skills, high level of confidentiality, interpersonal skills, integrity, analytical, numerical and statistical skills.
