To support this vision KMRL would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the following
position at Konkola Business Unit
ARTISAN ELECTRICAL – KCM 3 (20)
Job Purpose
Carryout all electrical installations, repairs and maintenance of equipment in the section.
Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Receive daily work assignments from superior which maybe in form of written instructions, sketches, work orders or drawing
• Examine electrical equipment in the plant to determine faults and state of repair.
• Interprets from knowledge of the plant, the tools and measuring equupment necessary to carry out the work.
• Diagnoses the state of electrical repair of plant, and determine where necessary what parts and materials are required to effect repairs.
• Reports the work progress to the supervisor
• Ensure the use of right tools for the job at all times.
• Ensure clean and tidy maintenance of tools and equipment after completion of task.
• Follow Safe working procedures to minimize accidents and personal injury and ensure that statutory safety requirements are adhered to.
• Maintain good self-discipline and industrial relations at work.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
• Craft Certificate- Electrical.
• At least 3 years practical experience in mining related operations.
• Competency in high voltage switching and cable jointing.
• Innovative and self-starter.
• Must be ready to work underground.
• Ready to work odd hours whenever need arises.
• Good team player.
