The Company seeks the services of Artisan Plant Fitters (x2)

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing: To inspect, maintain and repair plant equipment (machinery), effectively, efficiently and safely.

The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to the following:

Ensure optimum plant/equipment availability.
Ensure strict adherence to statutory and domestic regulations particularly those relating to safe working practices in order to prevent injury to person and damage to company machinery. Keep equipment and prolong service life.
Conduct planned and adhoc plant maintenance as well as repairs to plant and equipment in accordance with job card instructions and as per drawing.
Utilise correct materials and consumables as per the specifications and location.
Ensure that lock out tag out procedures are followed at all times where applicable.
Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.
Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.

Craft Certificate in Plant Fitting.
A Technician’s Certificate in Plant Fitting will be an added advantage.
Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Plant Fitter preferably in the Mining Industry Must be physically fit and with necessary dexterity to work with tools.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
