Assistant Manager – Finance
Job Purpose
Main Accountabilities
• Review and recommend adjustments to the levels of premiums, target fund and coverage limits;
• Prudently manage the Deposit Insurance Fund and investments to optimize the size of the Fund in order to align with the objectives of the Deposit Insurance Scheme.
• Participate in the review of the regulatory framework and propose changes in line with market developments and international best practice on deposit insurance;
• Review and analyse prudential and deposits data submitted by member institutions to ensure that accurate information pertaining to depositors is maintained and performance indicators generated;
• Review and analyse information of the member institutions and manage risks to the Fund through sound advice on investment strategies and liquidity management;
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly off-site analysis reports on investment portfolio, liquidity, and market conditions benchmarked against strategic and operational plans; and
• Undertake research on deposit insurance systems and practices to improve the overall management and administration of the Fund.

Key Knowledge and Attributes
• Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ levels (credit or better)
• Three (3) years’ relevant experience

• Knowledge of the BFSA and other laws, regulations and guidelines related to the
financial sector.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Computer Literate with strong Excel skills
