Credit Risk Analyst

Suan Capital Ltd is looking to hire a highly competent, ethical and detail-oriented Credit Risk Analyst to support the firm’s credit risk management processes and systems.
Position Summary
The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for ensuring the firm’s credit risk management processes and systems are robust and functional. The role involves conducting detailed credit analysis, monitoring portfolio performance, preparing credit approval documentation, and partnering with the credit investment team and risk stakeholders to support sound credit decisions in line with the firm’s risk appetite and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fundamental credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative assessments, including evaluation of financial performance, asset quality, liquidity, capitalization, funding profile, and business strategy of potential investments.
- Prepare Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, and other credit approval memoranda, ensuring timely and high-quality credit documentation.
- Develop a robust and comprehensive credit risk framework and credit risk register
- Support the assessment and recommendation of risk ratings through independent analysis and application of the firm’s credit risk framework.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of existing relationships, identifying emerging risks, industry developments, rating triggers, and key risk indicators.
- Analyze financial statements, regulatory filings, and market developments to evaluate changes in client creditworthiness.
- Assist with portfolio reviews, stress testing exercises, industry studies, and regulatory-driven risk initiatives.
- Escalate potential credit concerns and deterioration trends to management in a timely manner.
- Partner with all stakeholders to obtain information required for credit assessments and portfolio monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s credit policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to a strong risk and control culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Progress toward CFA, FRM, MBA, or other relevant professional qualifications is an advantage.
- Membership of a recognized professional body will be an advantage.
Experience
- Extensive experience in Credit Risk, Financial Analysis, or related financial services roles.
- Understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and credit risk fundamentals.
- Familiarity with credit processes and risk rating methodologies.
- Ability to identify key drivers of credit risk and emerging industry trends.
- Experience preparing presentations, financial analyses, and credit-related documentation.
