DELIVERY OFFICER (NORTH-WESTERN PROVINCE)
Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST), a State-Owned Enterprise mandated to provide postal, courier, logistics and financial services across the country, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Delivery Officer.
Job Title: Delivery Officer (7) Department: Postal Networks.
Station: Kasempa, Kalumbila, Ikelenge, Manyinga, Mufumbwe, Chavuma and Zambezi Post Offices. Type of Employment: Permanent & Pensionable.
Purpose of Role:
To ensure the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and collection of mail and parcels while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver and collect mail, parcels, and registered items using a motorcycle in line with set schedules.
2. Ensure proper handling, security, and accountability of all postal items throughout the delivery process.
3. Conduct basic daily checks on the motorcycle and report any faults promptly.
4. Provide courteous and professional customer service, including obtaining signatures for accountable items.
5. Assist in sorting and preparation of mail for dispatch and delivery.
6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, and undelivered items.
7. Report delivery challenges, delays, and customer feedback to the supervisor.
8. Comply with postal regulations, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
Personal Attributes/Skills
Knowledge of local routes.
Good riding and basic maintenance skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, honest, and physically fit.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English and Mathematics.
Grade: ZPSC15.
Town: Kasempa, Kalumbila, Ikelenge, Manyinga, Mufumbwe, Chavuma, Zambezi.
2. At least 12 years of experience in delivery, courier, or postal operations.
3. Valid motorcycle riding license (Class A) and ability to safely operate a motorcycle over varied terrain.
4. Residents of North – Western province are encouraged to apply.
