Driver/Mechanic

1.Job Title: Driver/Mechanic

2. Job Purpose: To provide professional driving, transportation and other logistical support services to the organization

3. Academic Qualifications
Grade 12 with at least Thee [3] credits

4. Professional Qualifications
• Valid driving License preferably PSV
• Basic qualification in auto mechanic

5. Work Experience
Three[3] years relevant experience in a busy organization/Private sector

6. Main Duties and Responsibility

• Undertake driving responsibilities as assigned by Management
• Make regular reports on the condition of vehicles and provide technical opinion
• Undertake daily check -ups and cleaning of vehicles
• Undertake timely delivery of mail, reports and other documents
• Ensure that vehicles are duly insured
• Ensure that vehicle[s] is properly and reliably serviced and maintained to the necessary standard so as to enable safe movement.
• Liaise with supervisor as to major repairs needed and get relevant clearance for major repair work to be undertaken
• Keeping motor vehicles log books up to date whenever a vehicle is driven

7. Terms and Conditions of service:
• This appointment of Driver/ Mechanic shall be on a Two[2] years contract basis with an option for a second contract based on satisfactory performance and good conduct

• A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the advertized position will be offered
