ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER
THE COMPANY
Metal Fabricators of Zambia Plc (ZAMEFA) is a wire and cable manufacturing company for the domestic and foreign markets. Its major operations are in Luanshya on the Copper belt Province and it is a unit of CBI- electric group under the auspices of Reunert group of Companies which manage a portfolio of businesses in the fields of electrical engineering, information communication technologies and applied electronics . Zamefa wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position:
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER
Main Duties:
❖ To plan, control, monitor, co-ordinate, implement all safety, health and environmental protection
and pollution control programs
❖ To develop, maintain and promote a system of rules and procedures to safe guard lives and
property.
❖ To provide expert information and resources to meet specific incident prevention
measures.
❖ To create daily, monthly, quarterly and annual safety and health reports.
❖ Preparation of budget for all safety, health and environmental control requirements on
Protective wear, equipment and other Safety and Health Education programs
❖ To develop safety, health and environmental control training programs for all company employees and contractors as per Zamefa guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications/Experience
❖ Grade Twelve certificate
❖ Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environment or related field
❖ Conversant with the Integrated Management Systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
❖ Competent in computer – word, excel, power point etc.
❖ Three (03) years and above working experience at senior management level
❖ Good interpersonal skills
