JOB DESCRIPTION
As Weighbridge Operator your main job in this capacity will be scanning and weighing haul trucks as well as operating the load volume scanner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make sure safety and productivity characterize the scanning and weighing.
Direct and guide trucks onto the weighbridge and the load volume scanner.
See to it that the weighbridge scanner captures the right/correct data/information.
You will be downloading all the data that was captured to be used in analysis purposes.
Check both the weighbridge and scanner before use to make sure they are in good condition.
Ensure the light vehicle parks in their assigned parking spaces.
See to it that all and every equipment used safe calibrated and clean.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
A Grade 12 certificate.
Certificate in Computer studies, IT or any computer related program.
Experience in open pit mining.
1 Year work experience in a similar field.
Proper idea of surface mining operations.
Good knowledge of weighing and scanning operations of haul trucks.
General safety awareness in working with surface mining haul trucks.
