Kapasa Makasa University as a Public University is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Foreman in the University.
Foreman Technical – Services x 1 Position
Job Purpose: Supervise all construction, maintenance & electrical works on campus. Ensure safety, quality, and deadlines are met.
Key Duties:
1. Supervise artisans, technicians and casual workers daily
2. Read drawings/BOQS and ensure work meets specifications
3. Enforce Occupational Safety and Health act (OSHA) safety and PPE use on site
4. Keep job cards and submit weekly/monthly reports
5. Inspect and certify completed work
Requirements:
1. Full Grade 12 certificate with five (5) credits or better in English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subjects.
2. Craft Certificate/Diploma in Construction, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
3. 3 years’ experience as Foreman supervising teams
4. Team leadership, drawing interpretation, Occupational Safety and Health act (OSHA) and Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) knowledge
5. Zambian citizen registered with a regulatory body.
