GENERAL WORKER (2)

Reporting to the Cook and responsible for assisting in managing the canteen, preparing and serving of meals. He/she will ensure the canteen is kept clean, kitchen utensils hygienically maintained and meals served on time.

Main duties

Receiving and unpacking food stuffs and supplies.

Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking meals.

Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.

Washing utensils and dishes making sure they are stored appropriately.

Serving meals in accordance with specified meal times.

Disposing rubbish hygienically.

Handling any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification

Formal training in hospitality Industry.

Proven experience assisting in a busy kitchen.

Knowledge of food health and safety regulations.

1-year experience working in a busy kitchen.
