JOB DESCRIPTION

Geophysics Explo seeks to recruit a highly committed Individual for the position of Graduate Geologist, to join a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing exploration team. QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geoscience (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Basics in ArcGIS and Geosoft software and Microsoft Office will be an added advantage.

ROLE/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting to the Project Geologist, the Graduate Geologist is expected to contribute to the team’s output through completion of assigned tasks, working with or without direct supervision. Tasks shall be assigned by senior team members and interacting with other team members will increase with experience. The duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Supervising drill rigs and conducting core logging.
• Supervising drill core cutting and sampling.
• Compiling and interpreting geological and geochemistry datasets through data entry, validation, and maintenance of geological databases.
• Planning and supervising soil geochemistry surveys.
• Supervising geophysics surveys.
• Conducting geological mapping.
• Preparing technical reports.
• Liaising with field staff ensuring effective project executions.
