Our client is a fast-growing Zambian group with operations in Hardware Retail, Hospitality, and Copper Processing. The company is seeking a commercially driven Group Financial Officer (GFO) to join its executive leadership team and provide strategic financial leadership across multiple business units.

Job description

• Lead the Group’s financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Drive profitability improvements, cost optimization, and business growth initiatives.
• Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Lead ERP/accounting system improvements and process enhancement projects.
• Mentor and develop finance teams across Group companies.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, CA Zambia, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ audit experience and 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and business analysis.
• Experience managing group or multi-company operations is an advantage.
• Commercially minded leader with excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities, challenge existing practices, and drive business improvement initiatives.
