The National Health Research Authority (NHRA) is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health. The authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to apply for the position of CHIEF KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION OFFICER to join the authority’s Research Coordination, Knowledge Translation and Capacity Building Team.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Manage effectively the dissemination of research results in order to facilitate translation of health research outcomes into policy and programs.
• Manage effectively the publication of Health Research outcomes in order
to promote scientific dissemination of health research outcomes.
• Manage timely the monitoring and evaluation of section programs in order to assess their impact and facilitate the development of appropriate
interventions.
• Manage timely dissemination of scientific and corporate information in
order to facilitate decision making and create awareness.
• Supervise effectively, the utilization of human, financial and other resources
in order to ensure effective and efficient operations of the department.
• Manage timely preparation of departmental work plans and implementation of the Annual Performance Appraisal System in order to
monitor and evaluate performance.
• Manage timely development of economic evaluation analyses and
models in order to give cost implications of recommended policy options.

the development of consistent health research standards and guidelines for ethically sound health research in Zambia. The functions of the Authority include: research coordination, research regulation, research promotion, research coordination, capacity building, knowledge translation and research advisory.
• Manage effectively all capacity building activities related to economic evaluations and policy analyses in order to facilitate meaningful utilization of resources to save lives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Degree in Social Sciences/Arts or its equivalent, major in Health Economics will be an added advantage.
• Strong writing skills to produce analytical and technical reports.
• Demonstrated Knowledge Translation skills.
• Strong scientific writing skills.
• Economic modelling/evaluation skills.
• Strong analytical judgement.
• Proven qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills
• Computer literacy.

• Licensed with relevant certification bodies.
• Minimum work experience of six (6) years in a similar position.
