The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) is a statutory regulatory body under the Ministry of Health with both statutory obligations to regulate the registration of health facilities and health practitioners as well as maintaining optimal standards of competence, care and professional conduct. It was established under the Health Professions Act No. 24 of 2009. The mission of HPCZ is ‘to safeguard the quality of health care services by regulating and monitoring the professional conduct of health practitioners and health facilities.”

HPCZ now seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill up the following
position:
1. Internal Auditor x 01 (Lusaka, Lusaka Province)

Job Profile:
To undertake internal audit activities in order to ensure adherence to financial and
operational controls

Main Duties:
• Undertakes timely the production of audit reports in order to facilitate decision making and enhance internal controls.
• Undertakes effectively audit reviews of the Internal Control environment in order to assure their adequacy and effectiveness
• Supervises and undertakes effectively the review of the risk management process in order to provide assurance that risks are correctly evaluated by management.
• Undertakes effectively the appraisal of programmes and projects in order to ensure value for money.
• Undertakes effectively the review of financial and operating information in order to assure its integrity, reliability and adequacy.

Knowledge and skills requirements:
• Full Grade 12/ Form V School Certificate.
• CA/ACCA/CIMA/Bachelor of Accountancy
• Member of ZICA,
• Minimum of Two (2) years’ work experience,

• Work experience in a reputable Organisation (i.e. Regulatory Statutory board or Public Institutions will be an added advantage).
• Excellent English language oral and written communication skills.
• Able to write analytical and technical reports and Computer literate.
