JCB OPERATOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate JCB/backhoe loader equipment safely and efficiently.
Carry out excavation, trenching, backfilling and earthmoving activities.
Load and move soil, gravel, sand and other materials.
Assist with site preparation, levelling, grading and general site works.
Conduct daily pre-start inspections and
ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Follow safety procedures and instructions from the Site Supervisor/Foreman.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Valid Driver’s Licence.
Valid JCB/Heavy Equipment Operator’s Permit or relevant certification.
Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience operating JCB/backhoe loaders.
Experience in excavation, trenching, backfilling, loading and general earthmoving.
Knowledge of basic equipment inspection and maintenance.
Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
Must be physically fit, responsible, sober and safety-conscious.
