Provincial Health Office, Western Province with support from U.S Centre for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been implementing programs to
improve the management of TB, STIS and HIV/AIDS care services in the Province
since 2006. To further strengthen the programs,
WPHO is inviting applications
from interested persons who meet the minimum requirements to fill the following
vacant positions on contract basis subject to renewal:
JOB TITLE: M&E ASSISTANT
LOCATION: Health facility level in Western Province
JOB PURPOSE: To support the program implementation, monitoring and evaluation by timely collecting, analyzing data for guiding decisions for efficient
program monitoring and implementation.
Reports to: Facility In-charge
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILTY (MAIN DUTIES)
• Undertakes accurate and timely data entry in the EHR system, conduct
routine maintenance of the EHR workstation and keep logs for system
issues
• Undertakes management of data logistics supplies in order to ensure that
they are available in the supported sites.
• Undertakes generation of all required HMIS and MER reports as per reporting deadlines
• Undertakes routine analysis of facility TB/HIV data and provide
performance updates against set targets
• Provides data management technical support to newly appointed health
facility staff on HMIS and MER indicators
• Conducts data verifications and validations to ensure accuracy,
completeness and consistency prior to report submission the next levels
• Provides timely feedback about client level data and aggregated data
to both facility clinical and DHO staff.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Must be between 21 and 45 years
• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer
• Two (2) years traceable work experience in Sciences and IMIS data management
• Training in SmartCare and DHIS will be an added advantage
• Ability to write articulate and technical narrative reports in English
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
