Pharmacy Technologists

Est. In 2007, Sylkay Pharmacies (part of Sylkay Group) is a duly-registered and one of the leading pharmaceutical retail chains in Zambia.

Sylkay seeks to immediately employ 2 full-time Pharmacy Technologists to be based in Lusaka, Zambia. This position offers a successful candidate a unique opportunity to work closely with middle and senior management, government and quasi government institutions, NGOs and private pharmaceutical and medical outlets offering pharmaceutical or related products and services.

Organizational Setting:

The Pharmacy Technologist, will work under the direct supervision of the Managing Pharmacist to meet SYLKAY specific company deliverables.

 Prepare orders & requirements

 Record all receipts, issues and other inventory transactions

 Compound, counsel, dispense & general management and supervision of subordinates

 Support strategies to improve business and assist the Pharmacist Manager to meet company deliverables

 Perform any other duties as assigned by senior leadership

 Minimum qualification – Diploma in Pharmacy (Full or Provisional Registration with HPCZ). Just energetic and self Motivated; no minimum work experience required

 Experience working in a pharmaceutical or medical setting is an added advantage but not a must

 Good knowledge and/or familiarity of the Zambian Laws desirable

 Proficient user of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

 Excellent team player and experience working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders desirable

 Proven ability to operate independently, multitasking, setting and achieving ambitious targets with limited guidance

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal capabilities

 Ability to coordinate meetings, meet deadlines, generate data driven reports and work in a fast-paced environment with maximum efficiency and impact

 Flexible and willing to work in different branches or travel for field work as required

 Valid driving licence required but not a must
