Background:
With funding from the Australian government (DFAT), and Germany government (BMZ) through Christian Blind Mission (CBM), ADRA is implementing Climate Change Adaptive initiatives (Food security through Agri-based Resilient Market Solutions-FARMS & Disability Inclusive in Disaster Risk Reduction -DIDRR) working with rural
communities in promoting farming as a sustainable business. ADRA seeks to recruit the following.

2. Project Field Officer (02)-DIDRR Project

Position Overview:
The Project Officers (POS) are responsible for the Coordination of all activities of the project in there respective districts. Mobilize communities to participate in all stages and areas of the project, in
collaboration with stakeholders, lead the identification and verification of beneficiaries.
Participate in District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) to advocate for Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR). Facilitate the identification of advocacy issues on inclusive DRR in the district.
Identify organizations for Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) active in the district for collaboration.
Spearhead the implementation of capacity building activities in the district. Lead the establishment of inclusive Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSLAS) and provide technical support to the groups.
Coordinate with DEBS office to raise awareness of inclusive DRR in schools and involve students and young people in DRR-related activities. Facilitate formation and training of Community Task Force Teams on disability in DRR (Community Welfare Assistance Committees (CWACS) Satellite Disaster
Management Committees (SDMCs), traditional leaders, faith-based representatives and (OPDs).

Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree/Diploma in Disaster Management Studies/Sustainable or General Agriculture or related fields with at least 2-years’ experience.

Substantial experience in:
• Program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Community Mobilization and Facilitation of Capacity building.
• Report writing and documentation (with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

Required Skills:
• Practical knowledge of Organizational and planning capabilities,
• Knowledge of the Zambian agricultural sector
• Knowledge on Social and Disability inclusion,
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
• Problem solving skills, good communication skills
• Ability to prepare reports.
• Ability to ride motorbike (licensed)

Station: (1) Mambwe District -Eastern Province & (1) Gwembe District -Southern Province

Contract: Annual (Renewable on performance)

2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing skills, presentation, and public
speaking
3. Be willing to comply to ADRA Policies on Child Protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Gender and Disability Inclusion, anti-fraud, Community Response Mechanism and Environment Protection among others.
