Ambitious Zambia is a team formed of Nordics and Zambians collaboratively solving the challenges faced within the country. Team members are working as super connectors between the continents, organizing online events, bringing people together, and enabling projects for the team and the community. The team is looking for more members to operate efficiently.

Zambia, in southern Africa, is a large, resource-rich, landlocked, country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe lay famous Victoria Falls – indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya. Zambia is experiencing a large demographic shift and is one of the world’s youngest countries by median age. Its population, much of it urban, is estimated at about 17.9 million and growing rapidly at 2.8% per year. This trend is expected to continue as the large youth population enters reproductive age, which will put even more pressure on the demand for jobs, health care, and other social services.

Ambitious.Africa is an initiative that aspires to be the bridge between the Nordics and Africa and our aims lay in connecting, inspiring, and empowering young people to help them make a change together. Ambitious.Africa’s vision is based on three pillars of Education, Entrepreneurship, and Entertainment. These are the values that guide us towards our goals:

Collaboration We value collaboration – learning from each other and working together towards a better future.

Learning-by-doing We value learning, we think it is important to learn things and gain experience through active doing, not just thinking.

Leading the change We value proactive attitude, we want young people to be in charge and lead the change towards a better future.

Transparency We value transparency – we base our decisions and actions on transparent and clear communication and decision-making process.

Trust We value trust – we are trustworthy, and we trust others.

Accountability We value accountability and responsible attitude – we take accountability for our acts and decisions.

Openness We value open and honest attitude and communication.
