QHSE Officer

VACANCY – QHSE OFFICER – (Lusaka)

Job Purpose :

The missions of the QHSE Officer is to coordinate and implement necessary processes and actions in order to ensure that the organization complies with legislation and best practice with regards to HSE as well as driving initiatives aimed at improving QHSE for employees, customers, contractors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

§ The Focal point for all QHSE matters of the Company.
§ Champions QHSE as a personal value to ensure HSEQ is promoted in terms of both actions and decisions and to prevent accidents and harm to people or the environment.
§ Lead investigation for all serious incidents and accidents, at any of the sites or Customer sites and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
§ Ensure compliance of the depots with group and legal requirements/Licenses.
§ Ensure compliance of all Retail and Commercial sites with group requirements, licenses, and all legal requirements.
§ Issue and implement an organization Energy Integrity and HSE audit tools in compliances with local requirements and International Good Practices.
§ Monitor performance against QHSE objectives and targets and take corrective and preventive actions as necessary. § Recommend and update QHSE policies and procedures to improve performance. § Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements in matters QHSE.
§ Ensuring that there is a Corrective Acton Plan for all identified improvement opportunities.

REPORTING
§ Prepare and submit reports on QHSE performance to senior management. § Keep abreast of development in QHSE legislation and best practice and advise management accordingly on any changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational health, safety, or related field. § 3 plus years’ experience in a QHSE role § Experience auditing QHSE systems against ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
