Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company is a Commercial Water Utility Company providing quality Water and Sanitation services to its customers in Kitwe, Kalulushi, Lufwanyama and
Chambishi.
In its quest to address water and sanitation challenges, NWSC has received funding from the Government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit to improve water and sanitation services to its customers in Kwacha Constituency.
The Company therefore, seeks to employ suitable, highly motivated and goal-oriented Human Resource to fill the following positions:
Quantity Surveyor (X01)
Job Purpose
To undertake measurements of works for water and sanitation projects in order to
ascertain the quantities of materials required and the materials used after works are done.
Job Accountabilities
• Undertakes effectively the measurements of works for water and sanitation projects in order to ascertain the quantities of materials required and the materials used after works are done.
• Undertakes effectively the evaluation of infrastructure projects in order to ascertain
the value of the works done.
Qualifications and Experience
* Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science/Construction Management or its equivalent
* Member of the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveyors
Skills, Knowledge and Other Attributes
Ability to write technical and professional reports
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
