ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF ZAMBIA
JOB ADVERTISEMENT
The Electoral Commission of Zambia commenced the conduct of continuous
registration of voters (CRV) in 10 Districts in June 2022. The Commission is preparing
fo further roll out the CRV in ten additional districts namely; Chongwe, Kabompo,
Kitwe, Livingstone, Lundazi, Mbala, Mkushi, Nakonde, Nchelenge and Sesheke.
The Commission therefore seeks to recruit (10) suitably qualified Zambian
nationals to fill the positions of Registration Officers on short term contract to be
based in the above-mentioned districts.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Registration Officer is responsible for the registration of new eligible voters,  correction of wrong details on the voter’s card and replacement of lost voter’s cards.
REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY
The Registration Officer will report to the Senior Electoral Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct voter registration according to registration procedures
2. Provide voter registration statistic reports
3. Backup registration data regularly;
4. Ensure stocks of materials are maintained and requests for any additional
materials are made timely:
5. Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of voter registration kits and software;
6. Ensure safety of equipment and materials in their custody:
7. Perform software updates;
8. Maintain close collaboration with the office of District Electoral Officer:
9. Perform any other duties as requested by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Diploma in any relevant tertiary qualifications.
2. Full Grade 12Cerfificate, GCE or its equivalent.
3Two (2) years proven experience in working with ICT technologies.
4. Must have worked as a Technical Support Officer, Voter Registration Officer
or Voter Registration Support Officer in 2020/2021 voter registration exercise.
