NFC Africa Mining PLC (Chambishi Mine) an international mining company with its core business in the development of non-ferrous metals and mineral resources in Zambia, in our quest to continue supplementing Government effort by creating more local jobs, we seek to
employ suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals to fill the vacant position below:

Research Analyst – Lab 

Job Purpose

To perform routine and non-routine sampling and analysis programs, and
conduct research into improving sampling and analysis methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing routine and non-routine sampling and analysis programs.

Conducting research into improving present analytical methods,
evaluating and validating the procedures.

Tracing and correcting faults in analytical procedures
Producing technical reports and recommendations on the research
findings.

Maintaining effective communication with government departments and learning institutions.

Ensure that LIMs and ISO 17025 are functional in the Laboratory

Other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry a must) or its equivalent.

At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant laboratory (Experience in analytical
chemistry).

Knowledge of analytical equipment such as Atomic Absorption
Spectrometers, Atomic fluorescence spectrometer, XRF units,
inductively coupled plasma and Carbon sulphur analyzers.

Good analytical skills
