Safety Officer

Chenguang Biotech Zambia Agri-Dev LTD invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Safety Officer. The successful candidate will report to the Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Manager and will be based at Sinazongwe Farm.

Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.

Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Monitor compliance with company safety rules and statutory requirements.

Conduct safety inductions and HSE training.

Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.

Coordinate emergency response plans and fire safety programs.

Monitor environmental compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

Maintain HSE records, audits, inspections, and incident reports.

Inspect and maintain emergency equipment.

1. Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Professional HSE certification is an added advantage.

3. 1–2 years’ experience in an HSE role.

4. Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation.

5. Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing.

6. Must be a registered member of ZOASH/EIZ.

7. Must be a resident of Maamba, Monze, Mazabuka, or Livingstone.
