Employment Opportunities Nkungumalemba Farm;

Nkungumalemba Farm is a farm situated in Lusaka West our main activities include poultry rearing (broilers), sheep farming and horticulture. We are looking for suitable candidates for the following position

Sheep Farm Worker (1 position)

Sheep worker responsibilities;
-Ensure animals have access to food and water at all times.
-Herd sheep in and out of pens.
Assist in maintaining pasture and forage for the sheep.
-Assist in Feed making.
-Identify sick sheep or goats and determine proper treatment or contact veterinarian.
-Administer vaccinations, de-wormers and medications.
-Assist in breeding programs such as castration; also assist in lambing or kidding.
-Regularly bottle feed rejected lambs and kids.
-Dock (Cut) lamb tails once of age.
-Patrols, inspects and reports on the condition of sheep.
-Cleaning and disinfecting of sheep pen.
-Maintain high standards of animal welfare at all time.
-Ideal candidate should have experience with sheep, goats and or cattle.

Sheep worker requirements;
Should have prior experience working with small ruminant’s sheep and goats. Be knowledgeable about animal health. Certificate in agriculture (LIVESTOCK), livestock trainings would be an advantage. Ideal candidate should have passion for animals.
