Role Context

Provide day-to-day administrative support for warehouse and manual handling activities of forklift operations, material handling and ground operations including; movement, storage and inventory control; stacking, loading or unloading materials, finished goods, tools; packaging of materials and maintenance of existing inventories in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies

Key responsibilities

Under direct supervision perform assigned tasks of generally repetitive to conduct activities such as receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse
Under close supervision receive goods, sort, label and store goods as per defined guidelines on space utilization
Match items against the record of shipment, and inspect condition for damages/ defects
Under direct supervision pick, pack and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders
Enter data for received and shipped items according to established procedures
Provide basic support to transport materials between departments as per defined routes and guidelines
Under direct supervision enter data into database or computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records
Under direct supervision refer to stored information, place standard orders or respond to basic enquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedules
Follow and achieve compliance with established procedures and guidelines
Follow and achieve compliance in proper routing of materials while transporting the materials between departments
Under close supervision perform order fulfilment based on customer requirements
Provide basic support to retrieve stored information, place orders or respond to enquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedules
Undertake recurring routine tasks related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g. pickers and packers)
Under close supervision receive goods, scan and verify items against the shipment record
Undertake recurring routine tasks to consolidate transshipment and sorting activities (e.g. within sorting centers)
Under close supervision support operate gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, stage, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc. and may use a hi-rise to load items in storage racks
Under close supervision process applicable documentation during package/ freight pick-up or arrival at warehouse
Under direct supervision operate a scanner to process all incoming and outgoing shipments
Provide basic support to arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information in a timely and efficient manner
Provide basic support to check, use and maintain forklifts and equipment on a daily basis
Provide day to day support in general admin tasks related to shipment processing and documentation, sending status information and accepting/ securing over-the-counter payments
Stay updated with the methods of use of all equipment and obtain related certifications for loading, unloading and material handling equipment
Minimum Requirements

Experience Level
