JOB Opportunity-Bull-Dozer Operator
UNITED GYPSUM INVESTMENT LIMITED – MINE (MONZE)
United Gypsum is the first and only company to manufacture and distribute a wide variety of Gypsum-related products and Gypsum board accessories in Zambia. Our Mine is located in monze district about 32km on Namwala road and 49km off the tarmac on gravel road.
We seek to recruit a highly energetic, committed and passionate Zambian for the position of Operator – Dozer to join the versatile Mining team.
Type of Contract – One Year
Reporting to Mine Manager / Supervisor
Reporting: Mine Manager/Supervisor
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for carrying out all duties associated with Dozer operations in mining department.
Conduct prestart checks on the Dozer before commencing work.
Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components.
Conduct clean-up works and other critical operations as required in haul roads and mine dump areas.
Work on haul road construction and maintenance projects.
Work under the supervision of shift supervisors to maintain site safety standards i.e., windrow heights and road surfaces.
Build Haul Road windrows to the correct UGIL-Mine standards.
Report all defects on the Dozer to the maintenance and mine dispatch section.
Carry out any other adhoc production related requests, as required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in an open pit set up.
· Qualifications in machinery operation, specifically bulldozer.
· Prior experience with bush clearing and other civil works.
· Experienced with other civil works is beneficial.
· Ability to operate Caterpillar, Liebherr and Shantui and other related bulldozers.
