To support the vision KMRL would like to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the below position
in the Security Department:

Assistant Group Security Manager – Operations & Administration: Reporting to the Head Security

Job Purpose:
Overseeing the day-to-day security operations of the Konkola Copper Mines plc group operations.

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
Head the day to day Konkola Copper Mines plc group security operations
* Developing and implementation of security policies, protocols, risk and loss control policies and systems for the mine
Lead the detection and timely investigation of cases and incidents involving loss to the Company
Monitoring & evaluating performance of all outsourced security for quality and delivery against best practice and contractual benchmarks

• Controlling the security operations budget, monitoring expenses, and documenting processes
• Ensure that all the Company facilities on the mine and the facility occupants are adequately
protected against harm and loss twenty-four hours a day 365 days a year
Provide appropriate training to security staff
• Any other duties aimed at loss/risk reduction to the Company

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
* Grade 12 School Certificate
* Degree in Security or any Social Science
* Minimum of seven (07) years practical experience at senior level in security, law enforcement or military
* Competent in incident/accident investigation
* Good understanding of all relevant legislation affecting investigations, security provision and safety of persons and assets in the mining industry in Zambia
Strong supervision and leadership skills
* Experience in managing costs and budgeting
* Experience managing security operations in a large-scale mining environment will be an advantage
